San Francisco 49ers superstar wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has an interesting NFC team on his wish list if he ends up getting traded.
Brandon Aiyuk is entering the final season of his rookie deal with the 49ers. By all accounts, the two sides are nowhere close to an extension, hence the never-ending rumors that the 2020 first-round pick may be dealt.
If the 49ers were to shop Aiyuk, there would be no shortage of teams interested in his services. Even though he has to share the ball with fellow stars Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel, Aiyuk hauled in 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
During his appearance on “The Pivot Podcast” hosted by former NFL stars Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder, Aiyuk dropped the name of one interesting NFC team he would love to play for. (WARNING: VIDEO BELOW CONTAINS LANGUAGE THAT IS NSFW):
“Sh*t, there’s a quarterback (Jayden Daniels) right there. I’m thinking about what I can do with him…I’m thinking about if the 9ers don’t want me to come back to play with them, I’m thinking about what I can do (with Daniels). I know what I can do.”

The Commanders have had one of the busiest offseasons, bringing in Adam Peters and Dan Quinn to serve as their GM and head coach, respectively. They drafted Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 pick and added the likes of Bobby Wagner, Dorance Armstrong, Austin Ekeler, Jeremy Chinn and Tyler Biadasz in free agency.
So adding Brandon Aiyuk to the mix would be a cherry on top of an excellent offseason in DC. Of course, it remains to be seen if the 49ers are actually willing to deal their No. 1 receiver.
49ers Should Pay Brandon Aiyuk
The San Francisco 49ers are in win-now mode and in need of explosive playmakers like Aiyuk if they’re to get over the championship hump. If they were to trade Aiyuk, the 49ers would find it difficult to get equal value in return.
So at the end of the day, San Francisco’s best bet is to pay Aiyuk and keep this star-studded offense intact.
