We can now count out the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers as two rumored teams that were willing to sign Tom Brady in free agency.
The Titans signed Ryan Tannehill to a massive extension, signaling that they were out.
Chris Simms of NBC Sports would later report that the 49ers were also out and planned to stick with Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting quarterback.
Simms also reported that Brady’s “No. 1 choice” was to sign with the 49ers, but something significant had occured in the past few days to make them stick with Jinny G.
He also added that it is down to the Patriots and Buccaneers for Brady.
The 42-year-old future hall of fame made $23 million for the 2019 season and is in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
