San Francisco 49ers Left Tackle Trent Williams is coming off a dominant 2021 season where he was the highest graded offensive lineman as per Pro Football Focus, with a 96.6 grade. He only allowed one sack the entire season and was a big key to the Niners’ great rushing attack.
For his efforts, Williams was named First-team All Pro for the first time in his career and made his ninth consecutive Pro Bowl.
He was also recently recognized by EA Sports and the Madden franchise as the first lineman to ever receive a 99 rating, the highest rating possible in the popular video game.
It is a well deserved honor for Williams, as he has been one of the best and most consistent linemen over the course of his career. There is no doubt he will be back next season with San Fran after signing a six-year ,$138.06 million contract extension with the team last year, making him the highest paid offensive lineman of all-time.
The only question is, will he be protecting the blind side of Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance?
