The San Francisco 49ers want to keep it all in the family with their next reported move.
Joey Bosa could be traded this offseason by the Chargers and his family definitely has a preference on where they want him to go.
According to Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, the 49ers are in agreement with them and have an interest in adding Joey Bosa to their roster this offseason. However, it’d have to be at the “right price.”

If not the right price, the 49ers could wait for Los Angeles to potentially cut Bosa.
“The 49ers are still hunting for value acquisitions in free agency, especially in the defensive backfield. Joey Bosa, if released by the Chargers (or if trade & contract terms were favorable), remains enticing at the right price,” Silver said.

The Los Angeles Chargers needed to get under the salary cap and they did so by announcing they released Mike Williams, saving the team $32.5 million, and that Khalil Mack would remain with the team under a restructured deal.
While they were able to get under the cap with the moves they did make, they still have decisions to make on the future of wide receiver Keenan Allen and edge rusher Joey Bosa.
Joey has spent his entire career with the Chargers since being drafted No. 3 overall in 2016. The four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher recorded 6.5 sacks during an injury-shortened 2023 campaign where he played in just nine games.
He has only appeared in 14 games over the past two seasons due to multiple injuries.
Both Nick and Joey attended Ohio State and both would obviously love to reunite in the league.
