As soon as the NFL schedule came out this offseason, every fan base that saw they had a road against the Rams and Chargers knew they would have an extra home game this year. It is no secret that both franchises struggle to have fan support in the Los Angeles area.
On Sunday, the Rams were faced with having a road game despite being at home.
We have seen fan bases in Seattle and Kansas City among others impact the game with their roaring, but for the Rams in their Week 2 matchup it may be the opposite. After a huge Week 1 win in Seattle, the Rams return to Los Angeles to host another rival in the San Francisco 49ers.
However, the crowd had little blue and gold as 49ers fans had taken over. A new angle during the game shows that fact.
Not only is that angle staggering, but it also indicates that the Rams are continually struggling to tap into Los Angeles and generate support. Not even a Super Bowl win could get fans to support them like other fan base for their teams.

The 49ers have won the last nine meetings between the two teams, which is likely another reason that their fans love coming to Los Angeles so much.
Quarterback Brock Purdy had a solid performance in the 49ers’ 30-23 victory over the Rams on Sunday. He finished 17-of-25 passing for 206 yards with a rushing touchdown.
Through two games, Purdy has completed 67 percent of his throws for 426 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
