The San Francisco 49ers might have the best traveling fan base in the entire National Football League.
On Sunday, the 49ers and Raiders both opened their preseason action against each other and the stands did not look as expected.
Both teams were in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, and what should’ve been a road game turned into a home game for the 49ers as their fan base clearly bought way more tickets to watch the preseason contest.
Check out the footage:
The Raiders intercepted multiple passes during the joint passes against the 49ers, so the team is trying to make it count during their contest today. San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Brock Purdy was intercepted three times Friday. Backups Trey Lance and Sam Darnold didn’t shine, either.
Trey Lance seems to have made up for it as he tossed a touchdown pass in the second quarter that sent the crowd going crazy.

Last season, the San Francisco 49ers finished the regular season 13-4, marking their best regular season record since 2019 and the third time since 1998 that the team won 13-or-more games in a single season. The team made it all the way to the NFC Championship against the Eagles but never had a shot to win since Brocky Purdy as well as their backup QB went down with injuries.
The Raiders are coming off a disappointing 6-11 record that saw them bench Derek Carr and release him during the offseason. The team moved forward by signing Jimmy Garoppolo for the foreseeable future.
