This year, we saw the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals get featured on HBO’s popular “Hard Knocks” series.
The Lions and head coach Dan Campbell provided viewers with a glimpse into their training camp, while the Cardinals gave a behind-the-scenes look at the final stretch of their tumultuous 2022 campaign, which ended with the retirement of J.J. Watt and the firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
So who could we be seeing next heading into the 2023 NFL season? According to @NerdingOnNFL, the four eligible teams for Hard Knocks in 2023 are the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets and Washington Commanders.
It’s not exactly your cream of the crop in the NFL, but there are definitely some interesting storylines to be had among these four teams.
With the Chicago Bears, you have the owners of the first overall pick. Will they use of on a quarterback and trade away young phenom Justin Fields? Or will we get to watch Fields continue to grow before our very eyes during training camp next year.
The Jets will have plenty to talk about with the whole Zach Wilson situation, which is bound to attract most of the attention if Gang Green is chosen.

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders and New Orleans Saints are two teams who will likely be featuring some new signal-callers next season. Do find a way to draft one of the top prospects of 2023? Or do they trade or sign a big-name veteran quarterback?
What happens over the coming weeks and months could help the NFL and HBO decide which team has the best chance at boosting their ratings. Stay tuned.
