The NFL is in mourning this week after tragic news came down that a Super Bowl champion has lost his life at such an early age.
3-time Super Bowl winner David Patten has tragically passed away at the age of 47. His former All-Pro teammate in Richard Seymour sent out a heartfelt reaction upon hearing about Patten’s passing.
David Patten is best known as the wide receiver who collected the Patriots’ only offensive TD in their first Super Bowl victory with Tom Brady at the helm back in 2001. For the game, he hauled in eight catches for 107 yards.
There has been no confirmation of how he died, but a tweet from a family member indicates that it was reportedly from a motorcycle accident.
