There are millions of fans who are excited today as EA Sports released the player ratings for this year’s rookie class for Madden 20.
For Arizona Cardinals, they will definitely not be excited about this.
Quarterback Kyler Murray, who was selected first overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, is nowhere close to being the highest-rated rookie in the game.
In fact, he isn’t even the most highly-rated Cardinals rookie.
Murray received a 73 overall rating, while 19 other rookies had a better rating than him. That also includes teammate Byron Murphy, who received a 75 overall rating.
The top rookie rating belongs to defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, the No. 3 overall pick. He has an 80 overall rating.
Murray has the same rating as Philadelphia Eagles receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary and Washington Redskins pass rusher Montez Sweat.

While it looks really bad, it should be noted that he is the top-rated quarterback of the class.
