Wacky Super Bowl commercials from WORST to FIRST.
There is no way these companies thought they could get away with these ads during a Super Bowl… Maybe during a late night TV show when all the kids are sleeping. But during the most watched sports event in North America? NO SHOT!
As you’ll see here, some epic Super Bowl commercials were banned for being a little too MUCH. Today we take a look at 15 Super Bowls that you didn’t get to see…because they were too much for TV.
15. Bud Light: Apology-Bot 3000
Ah yes, another ccut advertisement by Bud Light.
The beer company has ran a series of “Apology-Bot 3000” ads over the years, where a robot, well, apologizes to somebody on a person’s behalf.

This one – featuring a chef who accidentally fed a customer poisonous food – never made it to the Super Bowl screen.
14. NBC Rejected A PETA Commercial
Peta went for it and submitted approval for their Super Bowl commercial. We can definitely say it wasn’t approved, but it went down as one for the ages.
13. Ashley Madison Went For It All
If anyone remembers this ad, yea we can say there was no chance this was making it on live TV.
12. Charlotte McKinney in Carl’s Jr.
Instagram model Charlotte McKinney starred in a Carl’s Jr. commercial for Super Bowl 49. In the ad, McKinney is walking around catching the attention of the bystanders.
At the end, McKinney eats a Carl’s Jr. burger while donning a bathing suit. This ad was widely criticized by pundits for being offensive.
In an interview, McKinney later admitted that she was trying to distance herself from the ad, but that she also signed up for another Carl’s Jr. commercial.
11. Groupon Ad With Elizabeth Hurley
You know a Super Bowl ad is NOT GOOD when the founder of the company decides he has to take ‘em down.
Such was the case with Andrew Mason, the man who founded Groupon. This one, featuring actress Elizabeth Hurley, offended many with its reference to deforestation.
Mason said “We hate that we offended people,” and offered an apology before Groupon took down the commercials.
10. Blu Temptation’s S Robot
Any commercial that endorses smoking products is bound to be rather…controversial. But having a robot come into a woman’s house and have sex with her? Who in the world thought this would make television?
9. Carl’s Jr. : Not Suitable for Juniors
A reminder to Carl’s Jr: You make some great food, but our children and our grandparents watch the Super Bowl too. Many men who enjoy this commercial have women in their lives probably don’t.
And by the way, I’m not sure if an attractive woman eating a sausage in odd manner is going to get us to by your product. This was just….ridiculous!
8. A Super (Bowl) Car Wash
We see it in movies, television shows and apparently commercials. But how many of you have actually seen a car wash run by women in bathing suits?
Well, Snickers tried to play into the fantasy of many men by making us believe this car wash would somehow make us buy their product.
We don’t understand the connection between a car wash and chocolate bars, but you can watch and try to figure it out for yourself.
7. Yes Cindy Crawford, We want a Pepsi
Cindy Crawford is one beautiful woman, so Pepsi thought the idea of this 10 out of 10 woman grabbing a pepsi on a hot summer day would play into our minds. I don’t know if it worked for you…but it sure did for these two young boys.
I’m surprised those children’s parents were okay with it. I feel like using guys over the age of 20 would have made a bit more sense. But anyway…
6. Watch Where you Dip
A note for men: no matter how attractive a woman is, always be aware of your surroundings before you make love. This one guy in the Bud Light commercial was a huge sucker for this girl.
And if this happened to you in real life? It would be embarrassing, and you’d be arrested for trespassing and being n in public. We think.
Gotta give it to Bud Light. They’re always somehow both creative and odd.
5. PETA: Pretty Extreme Television Advertising
We respect and admire the mission and message that the PETA organization tries to promote. But trying to tell everyone that they’ll have better sex by not eating meat is…uh…odd?
While science experts debate this so-called “fact”, understand that some men prefer meat over sex. This is just a silly message, and we ain’t shocked it got cut.
4. A raw meat Burger King commercial
No matter what the Austin Powers movies tell you, many studies show that women don’t care about a man’s…”size”. But Burger King tried tying a man’s….size…to a chicken sandwich.
Did we mention this commercial got banned? I’ll go with McDonald’s, instead.
3. Dorito’s is Good, the Commercials are Not
You’re telling me a bag of unhealthy potato chips can pick up a girl?
Any who, enjoy watching a woman being seduced by some chips in this banned Dorito’s commercial…
2. Just another day at the office
Bud Light makes some great light beer, but when it comes to their Super Bowl commercials, they prefer to go heavy on the odd content.
1. Skittles All Over You
This commercial starts by taking us backwards through the life of a criminal. And after all of the deviant acts, and before the day he was born, were taken to the moment he was conceived.
This was how Durex wanted to promote their products: a criminal was born because one stupid couple didn’t wear protection. Unfortunately for them, this commercial was cut, preventing Durex from spreading their message.
