The Alliance of American Football has begun. This new league has the pieces in place for long-term success, assuming the players are good — and the game quality is actually entertaining.
The fun part will be us viewers hearing the names of some of these AAF players and thinking “Oh yeah, that guy!” Some players who simply didn’t pan out in the NFL have a second chance at success thanks to this startup. And as Kurt Warner showed, you can always carve out an excellent NFL career by starting out in a different football league.
