Without a doubt, the biggest stunner of the 2023 NFL Draft was the fall of Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Will Levis.
Many scouts and analysts expected Levis to be a top-10 selection, with some even believing he could go in the top three. But in an all-time shocker, Levis went unselected in round one and had to wait until day two to hear his name.
The Tennessee Titans traded up to the No. 33 spot, which they used on Levis. Finally, the highly-touted signal-caller was a professional.
And as you could imagine, it was a giant relief for Levis and his family when commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the Titans were taking the 23-year-old quarterback.
You can check out the reaction of Levis and his family in this awesome clip below:
Three quarterbacks wound up going in the first round. The Carolina Panthers took Alabama’s Bryce Young first overall, and the Houston Texans used the following second on Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.

With the No. 4 pick, the Indianapolis Colts selected Florida’s Anthony Richardson. Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker was also expected to be a first-round selection, but he surprisingly fell to the Detroit Lions in round three at No. 68 overall.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel already announced that veteran Ryan Tannehill is still the starting quarterback, and 2022 third-rounder Malik Willis will be the backup. Levis will be the third-stringer for now.
Of course, things can change quickly in the NFL. If Levis looks good in training camp and in preseason play, he just might replace Tannehill as the new QB1 in Music City.
