The University of Georgia has shown off an alternate helmet that has fans on social media excited, though it might not actually be used for playing.
The helmet, mainly white with black and red stripes in the middle, is being used for recruiting photos. But some fans want to see it used for at least one game next season.
The Bulldogs typically use a red helmet for all of their games but they might just end up fielding the white one shown below given the reaction from folks online. Should they use it and it comes off to an even better reception, then who knows?

Of course, not all fans agree.
The Bulldogs are the current holders of the CFP national championship, having won it all in two consecutive seasons. They will kick off the upcoming campaign with a game against Tennessee-Martin on September 2.
The team was recently in the news for rejecting an invitation to visit the White House in June. The team received an invite to the official residence of the President of the United States but have revealed having to decline because the date – June 12 – does not work for them.
“The University of Georgia first received on May 3 an invitation for the Bulldog football team to visit the White House on June 12,” a statement from the university reads. “Unfortunately, the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year. However, we are appreciative of the invitation and look forward to other opportunities for Georgia teams moving forward.”
The Bulldogs did not visit the White House when they won last year, nor did the Alabama Crimson Tide the year before because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
