The Baylor Bears suffered a wild, embarrassing sequence against the Utah Utes on Saturday.
Baylor is now 1-1 following a 23-12 loss, with Utah improving to 2-0 for the season. The fixture is not one they will look back on fondly, not least due to one of the most regrettable turn of events a team has ever had to endure.
The Bears were attempting to get their first points on the board after going down 17-0 and found themselves within field-goal range, hoping to kick one in when the absolute worst unfolded.
The kick was promptly blocked, but their misery wouldn’t end there. The Utes would run the ball in for a touchdown, but before doing so, the ball carrier and another teammate would share high fives right before he scored.

It doesn’t get more embarrassing than this. Having a field goal blocked is bad enough; seeing it returned for a touchdown is six times worse. But having to watch on helplessly as the opposition rubs it in with a high-five before the ball crosses over into the end zone? That’s just inhumane.

Fans found it hilarious, however.
“They did the EA College Football 25 open field touchdown celebration before the touchdown was scored. The two Utah Utes teammates high-fived one another 😭😂,” one joked.
“It’s the high five for me 😂,” another commented.
“The high-five on the way to the end zone had doubled over laughing,” a third admitted.
“UTAH IS LIKE THAT,” someone added.
As mentioned above, the Utes secured the victory on their home turf to go 2-0. Baylor, on the other hand, will be nursing a lot more than a loss on the back of their humiliating sequence.
