Tracy Wolfson, a TBS sideline reporter, went viral nationwide after her conversation with UConn Huskies Center Donovan Clingan. Wolfson, an experienced broadcaster, appears to have pledged to never let this happen again.
During the interview after the game, Tracy Wolfson has to take a ladder and step on it to interview the taller Donovan Clingan because of her height. However, it was Wolfson’s monitoring interview that truly brought her to the nation’s attention and displayed her adaptability.
Wolfson met with seven-foot-two Connecticut center Donovan Clingan after his team’s impressive 86-72 victory over Alabama in a bid to close the height difference once more. This time, Wolfson was prepared with a clever solution: a step ladder, which ensured she was at eye level with the competition and erased the height discrepancy that had previously created much laughter.
During that interview, Wolfson was asked about the ladder, and she frankly replied that she needed a ladder to take the interview with basketball players.
“That is right, Ian. You said I needed a ladder, I got myself a ladder,” Wolfson said during the interview.
