Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders got called out by a fellow college QB following a recent workout.
NCAA signal callers often engage in offseason workouts, so there’s hardly anything to report when they do.
However, this particular one was interesting as Sanders found himself on the end of some criticism from one of his counterparts.
The Buffaloes QB worked out with Miami’s Cam Ward and Virginia Tech’s Kyron Drones under the hot South Florida sun this summer. They all appear to be very good friends and went at each other during the session.
Ward took a shot at Sanders, telling him he’s unable to deal with heat.
“Y’all can’t handle that heat, that’s what it is,” he’s heard telling the CU QB in the video below, claiming Shedeur did not get any better that day.

Sanders fired back with claims that Ward was the reason they were late.
“I might have been the reason we’re late, but I got better,” he said. Here’s the full video:
Shedeur Sanders Might Not Actually Mind The Heat
Of course, it was all friendly criticism; Ward was only trying to push his counterpart. But it was still surprising to see him deliver it so frankly.
Shedeur Sanders might prefer heat over cold, however, with his father, Deion Sanders, already putting NFL teams in extremely cold cities on notice, letting them know his son won’t be playing for them.
