A video of Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh assisting an Ann Arbor police officer in moving out trees has gone viral.
In a Twitter thread, the official Ann Arbor Police Twitter account detailed Harbaugh’s good Samaritan act. The Michigan head coach helped officer Howard Cooper move a tree that was blocking a road
at Devonshire and Londonderry.
Cooper and Harbaugh were able to clear the tree out of the way. In the Twitter thread, Ann Arbor police also thanked Harbaugh for his assistance.
Harbaugh, a former NFL quarterback, wrapped up his eighth season at Michigan. There was speculation that he would return to the NFL, but Harbaugh opted to stick around with the program that he helped rebuild in such short time.

Harbaugh has gone an impressive 74-25 as the head coach of the Wolverines. They qualified for the the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2021, losing to the eventual champion Georgia Bulldogs in the semifinals.
Before taking over as Michigan’s head coach in 2015, Harbaugh had a successful four-year run as HC of the San Francisco 49ers. Harbaugh led the organization to three straight NFC Championship Games (2011 to 2013) as well as a trip to Super Bowl 47, where they lost to his brother John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens.
