Deion Sanders was livid after the refs responded with a silly excuse after he complained about fans throwing bottles on the field during his team’s latest outing.
The Colorado head coach oversaw another win on Saturday night, with Colorado improving to 7-2 on the back of a 41-27 victory against Texas Tech. But Coach Prime was not happy with the officials after he went to them to complain about Red Raiders fans throwing bottles and other debris onto the field.
According to the post below, one of the refs told Sanders, “Well, your players are blowing kisses after they score” after his complaints.
As you can see in the clip, he goes off on the refs, telling them, “That’s football,” and to “get the heck out of here” before encouraging his team to play smart.
Fans Were Just As Upset At the Refs As Deion Sanders Was
Fans on social media weren’t pleased with the refs’ response either.

“🤔…..Hell naw man…those two not even close to the same…I mean this is from the fans..not players…geez refs,” someone pointed out.
“Yeah, I don’t know what the sports world has to do.. but next year these referees of ALL leagues need to be retrained, reset, and rechecked,” another wrote.
“If the ref said that, 100% needs to be fired, today. Not acceptable,” said a third.
The Buffaloes reached bowl eligibility with their previous win and are now second in the Big 12 after Saturday’s result.
They’re proving a lot of people wrong.
