Memphis Tigers wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee appeared to suffer a concerning knee injury while celebrating a touchdown vs. UTSA on Saturday.
Blankumsee hit Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “Siu” celebration after making a free run into the end zone but landed awkwardly, with his left knee buckling under him as he came down.

Demeer Blankumsee Wasn’t Seriously Hurt, Despite The Optics
Demeer Blankumsee has been trending on social media following his botched celebration, with fans in disbelief.
“360’d himself a trip to the blue tent 🤣,” someone laughed.
“Can’t be playing around on turf like that. Turf monster will get you,” another advised.
“Won’t be doing that again anytime soon 😆🤦♂️,” another fan wrote.
“ain’t no way he hurt himself doin the ronaldo siuuuuuuu cele,” a user posted.
Fortunately, Demeer was able to return to the field after this worrying optic. He had made seven catches for 142 yards and two TDs at the time of writing.
