Livvy Dunne is one of, if not the most popular gymnasts of our generation. The LSU star may only be a college gymnast, but she is still considered among the Simon Biles’ of the world when it comes to her notoriety.
Now, Biles may be one of the best gymnasts in the world, but there is no doubt that she doesn’t receive nearly as much attention on her social media accounts as the 21-year-old LSU gymnast does daily.
Dunne rose to fame after posting viral videos on TikTok of her gymnastics routines. She eventually became the most followed NCAA athlete, and for good reason. In February 2023, Dunne had accumulated over eight million followers on TikTok and five million on Instagram, earning herself the title.
It’s not all positives that come with being the most popular NCAA gymnast in the world, as Dunne recently joined a podcast called ‘Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae‘ to explain. Dunne told host Flau’jae Johnson that she had received comments about her bathwater.
Livvy Dunne Says ‘Bathwater’ Comments Are Common
“You know what I had for a really long time in my comment section? People asking for my bathwater,” said Dunne. She continued by adding, “What has my life come to? These people [are] begging for bathwater. But it has kind of settled down at this point, but that was a crazy one that I’ll never forget.”

The gymnast also told Johnson that she spun off the comments as a joke, yet she probably shouldn’t have, adding, “I would kind of say some out-of-pocket stuff back, which maybe I shouldn’t have, but it was funny at the time.”
Dunne also talked about how it bothers her when fans dismiss her success as a gymnast before transitioning into talking about her boyfriend, Paul Skenes. Dunne and Skenes have been one of the more popular couples since they began dating in 2023.
It doesn’t look like these comments are bothering her MLB boyfriend, though. They are still going strong, as Skenes and the Pirates look to finish their season positively while Livvy gears up for the NCAA 2025 season.
