Shedeur Sanders doesn’t forget.
Ahead of their in-state battle on Saturday, Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi had some choice comments about Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes. While speaking to the camera alongside teammate Tory Horton, Fowler-Nicolosi claimed his Rams gave the Buffs a “rude awakening” during last year’s meeting, which Colorado barely won, 43-35 in overtime.
Brayden concluded his rant by stating, “We’ll see how far Instagram likes get them.”
Colorado took exception to those comments by dismantling Colorado State on Saturday night, 28-9.
Shedeur made a statement with his 310 yards and four touchdowns, but it wasn’t just his game that was doing the talking on the field. Afterwards, as the teams were shaking hands, Sanders found Fowler-Nicolosi and told him, “You can’t f**k with me.”
Shedeur can be seen mouthing the words several times at the Rams QB, who eventually walks away from the situation.

This isn’t the first time Shedeur Sanders has made headlines for his actions during postgame handshakes with the Rams. After last year’s victory, he was seen flexing his wrist in the face of Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell.
Shedeur Sanders And The Buffaloes Snap Their Slide
The win was a big one for Colorado, as they were coming off an ugly 28-10 loss to Nebraska. The win over the Rams moves them to 2-1 on the season, and it’s easily their best performance of the 2024 campaign as well, with their only other win coming against North Dakota State University in a nailbiter on opening weekend.
Shedeur was facing a ton of scrutiny entering this contest, following his comments about the Buffaloes’ offensive line after last week’s loss. Hopefully a win can help ease the tension in Boulder this week.
