Angel Reese was the victim of some payback during Iowa’s win over LSU on Monday night.
The Tigers star made headlines for taunting Caitlin Clark nearing their NCAA Tournament win last year. And while lots of time has gone by, Iowa guard Gabbie Marshall did not forget it.
Reese fouled out from last night’s game with under two minutes to go as she was hit with a charge following what was a timely LSU steal, Marshall made sure to wave goodbye to her while she walked off the court.
You can check it out in the video below:
Reese had waved goodbye to a Middle Tennessee player who fouled out against the Tigers and found herself receiving the same treatment after going out vs. the Hawkeyes.

Still, she handled her defeat with grace and showed respect to Iowa’s players, including Caitlin Clark, at the end of the game.
“I think it’s just great for the sport, just being able to be a part of history. Like I said, no matter which way it went tonight, I know this was going to be a night for the ages,” she said, via ESPN. “And just being able to be a part of history is great. Playing against another great player, of course, is always amazing.”
Reese scored 17 points in Monday’s loss, adding 20 rebounds in a double-double performance. While she had a great first half, she didn’t appear to be as threatening after tweaking her ankle.
Angel Reese Wants Caitlin Clark To Win A Championship
Angel Reese has implied that she wants Caitlin Clark to leave college basketball with a championship. Clark is headed to the WNBA after this season and would do well to add a title to her list of accomplishments before leaving college basketball.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Reese revealed telling Clark to go win it all.
“She just told me to continue to be a great player. And I told her to continue to be a great player, as well. And keep elevating the game. And go win it,” she said of their post-game conversation.
Iowa will face UConn in the Final Four this coming Friday.
