Montana State vs. New Mexico proved to be one of the more exciting college football games this weekend, with the season finally kicking off to give fans some normalcy heading into the end of the year.
One announcer didn’t have the best time during Saturday’s thriller, however, falling victim to technical difficulties. Tim Brando was doing the play-by-play for broadcasters FS1 when color commentator Devin Gardner’s voice cut in as he asked whether anyone was hearing him.
Turns out, no one could. Brando continued with his commentary, which immediately suggested that Gardner had been left to speak to himself.
Brando kept speaking until the network went to commercials to deal with the apparent audio problems. Things were back to normal when they returned.

Montana State Had One Of The Best Opening Games of The New College Football Season
FS1 will hope this is the last of their technical difficulties this season. Such issues are okay during Week Zero, but no network would want to deal with technical problems throughout a term.
As for the game, the Bobcats pulled off a stunning comeback over the Lobos, rallying from being down 17 to win the game late on. The victory marked the program’s first win over an FBS team since 2006 and could be the catalyst that fires them to the top of the FCS following their 8-4 finish last season.
While Georgia Tech’s upset of Florida State grabbed most of the headlines, Montana State’s memorable comeback is also one of the weekend’s main talking points.
