Things got insanely frightening this week during football practice at Theodore High School when a tornado appeared out of nowhere.
Theodore High School in Alabama became the scene of a scary moment when football players from the Bobcats team found themselves running for their lives on the practice field after a tornado decided to rear its ugly head.
TikTok user @251.jordanfm took to his account and posted the viral video, which seemingly shows a tornado in the background as players are seen running to hurry up and get inside before they are swept away.
“POV, a tornado came during practice (laughing emoji,” the video was captioned.
The video of that tornado at the high school football field has been seen by thousands, and even SportsCenter reached out to repost it.
Those who are more knowledgeable about tornadoes have pointed out that the young high school students were perfectly safe as they were only witnessing a dust devil.

For those who are unaware, a dust devil is a strong, well-formed, and relatively short-lived whirlwind, according to Wikipedia.
They are described as usually harmless, but there are some instances where they grow large enough to threaten both people and property.
Knowing that information and seeing what looked like a tornado on a high school football field are two different things. Nobody was sticking around to find out the truth in real-time.
Luckily, it appears no football players or anybody else were hurt because of the dirt devil and the football team likely returned to the field once things had calmed down.
