On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns were set to take on the UTSA Roadrunners at home. During the game, starting quarterback Quinn Ewers limped off the field with a left leg or hip injury, which meant freshman Arch Manning would be subbed in.
During the second quarter, on second down, the Texas offense ran an option, and Manning decided to keep the ball and run. It was the perfect decision as he ran the ball for a 67-yard touchdown.
It wasn’t a straight shot, though, as he had to weave past defenders to make it happen. Now, everyone can’t stop talking about the athleticism he shows that neither of his uncles, Eili or Peyton, really had.
“A Manning that can run and pass? Whoever gets this guy in the NFL draft, it’s so over for the rest of the league,” said one comment.
“More rushing yards on one play than uncle Peyton had in his whole career,” said another.
“his uncles could never run out of the pocket and down the field like that. lol kid’s going to be a stud,” continued a third.

“This proves he is NOT the same Manning, cuz they are slower than a Sloth lmao,” joked a fourth.
These comments make a good point, too, because throughout Peyton’s NFL career, his longest rush was 33 yards, and Eli’s was 34 yards.
Arch Manning Has Impressed In His Limited Playing Time
Obviously, as the backup quarterback, Manning hasn’t had much time in the spotlight yet. However, when he does get his chance, he makes the most of it.
Other than this 67-yard rushing touchdown, he has completed five of six passes for 95 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions.
When Ewers eventually leaves for the NFL, Arch should be a great replacement.
