On Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes lost a close game, 31-28, against the Kansas State Wildcats, which was competitive until the last minute. There were many outstanding performances on the field, but head coach Deion Sanders was not afraid to call out his son for a poor performance.
Of course, many immediately think he’s talking about Shedeur, the team’s quarterback and leader, but it is about Shilo, a safety.
In his post-game interview with reporters, he was asked about Shilo’s day.
“I thought he played horrible,” said Deion.
He wouldn’t be wrong either, as Shilo was exposed by the Kansas State offense all night.
In one clip, Shilo failed to break down to make a tackle on running back DJ Giddens, causing him to fall to his knees while getting juked out. The end result was a big gain for the Wildcats.

That wasn’t his only failed tackle attempt, either. Two more clips show him going for a huge hit that the running back bounces off or Shilo getting juked out of his shoes again.
Again, these missed tackles were big games for the Kansas State offense.
You can’t blame Deion for showing his son some tough love if it motivates him to improve his performance.
Deion Sanders Wanted A Pass Interference Call At The End Of The Game
The end of the game between Colorado and Kansas State was a fourth and five long shot from Shedeur to wide receiver Will Sheppard.
The end of the play was an incompletion, and a pass interference call could have been warranted.
” I don’t know what transpired at the end, it looked like pass interference to me, but it was it was tough. I didn’t want it to end that way,” Deion told reporters after the game.
