On Saturday, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffalos will face the Colorado State Rams in an in-state rivalry. As is customary, Sanders held a press conference with the media before the game, but things took a very weird turn.
The reporter asked Deion his opinion on Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell’s family bad-mouthing Sanders’ family. Deion responded, “I had the honor and the pleasure at the Big 12 meetings to meet his wife… she’s delightful.”
Of course, his wife, Kim Norvell, has some harsh words about Deion and Shedeur Sanders the last time the two teams played. “Shadeur acted like a B when Jay turned his back after trying to talk to his dad and held up his watch,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
Deion could have seriously fired back at the Norvell family but showed a great amount of restraint and rather decided to keep things civil before the big matchup.
“They tried to bait him – why do we need to know what football coaches think about other coaches’ families’ opinions of them?” said a comment on X.

It seems that instead of in the media, a lot of talking will be taking place on the field on Saturday.
Deion Sanders and Colorado Came Up On Top In Last Year’s Game
Last year, when Colorado and Colorado State played, it easily became one of the best games of the entire season.
It was a true offensive showcase, with each team trading blow for blow. Sanders and the Buffaloes came out on top after winning in overtime, 43-35.
Currently, the Buffs lead the all-time record in the Rocky Mountain Showdown at 68-22-2, with 28 of those wins on the road, and are on a six-game win streak.
