Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter just reminded everyone why he will be a high draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Travis Hunter had an insane outing in the Buffaloes’ season opener against the North Dakota State Bison, catching even passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns. And those were only his contributions on the offensive side of the ball.
Hunter was a beast all night long, but his best play of the game was this jaw-dropping three-yard touchdown reception from Shedeur Sanders that put the Buffaloes up by two scores in the fourth quarter:

The Buffaloes held off a late fourth-quarter rally attempt from the Bison to hold on for a 31-26 victory. For the second straight year under head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffs have opened their season with a heart-pounding victory.
Colorado’s offense was practically unstoppable all game long. Shedeur Sanders completed 26 pass attempts for 445 yards, four touchdowns, one interception and 17 rushing yards in Colorado’s victory. Wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. caught seven passes for 198 yards and a touchdown.
Coming off a close victory against North Dakota State, Colorado will now get eight days off before traveling to Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers on Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. EST. After that, the Buffaloes will come back to the home state for a road game against the Colorado State Rams.
Travis Hunter Puts NFL Scouts On Notice
Though a lot can change between now and the end of the college football season, both Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders are widely projected to be early first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
There’s no telling how many NFL scouts took note of their respective performances on Thursday night. And to think there’s still plenty of football to be played this year.
