The 2024 NCAA football season is still five months away, but that hasn’t stopped Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders from bringing game-like intensity to the practice field.
The Well Off Media YouTube channel posted a video of a recent Buffaloes practice, with the offense going up against the defense. It was in this very video where Shilo, the son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, broke the internet with a big-time hit on one of his very own teammates.
As you can see at the clip that begins at 18:22, the whistle was blown after running back Micah Welch caught a pass. Several seconds after the play ended, Shilo Sanders came in and leveled his teammate:
Yep, Shilo is ready for football, folks.

The Buffaloes were the top story early in the 2023 NCAA season under “Coach Prime”, jumping out to a stunning 3-0 start. This was highlighted by a 45-42 road victory over the TCU Horned Frogs, the nation’s runner-ups, in the season opener.

But Colorado struggled mightily as the season went on, particularly against ranked opponents. Following losses to Oregon and USC, they got back in the win column with a 27-24 win over Arizona State to move to 4-2. Colorado proceeded to lose its final six games to finish 4-8, though four of those defeats were decided by a single possession.
The Buffaloes will open their 2024 season against North Dakota State on Aug. 31.
