Colorado Buffaloes two-way superstar Travis Hunter doesn’t want to hear the criticism from one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history.
Travis Hunter is off to another tremendous start with Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes, once again dominating as a wide receiver (37 catches for 472 yards and five touchdowns) and cornerback (one interception, two pass breakups and a forced fumble).
Hunter is widely projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with teammate and quarterback Shedeur Sanders potentially joining him in that club. But Hunter’s all-world play doesn’t exactly stand out to former NFL All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.
During an appearance on the “St. Brown Podcast” hosted by Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown, Sherman recently made headlines when he stated that Hunter is” “kind of bland” as a wide receiver:

Travis Hunter caught the news of Sherman’s words and responded via his Instagram story with an eight-word message. The 21-year-old Hunter shared a screenshot of Sherman and wrote, “Stop speaking on me let me play football.”

Hunter and the Buffaloes, of course, started out 3-0 a year ago before dropping eight of their final nine games to finish 4-8.
