Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders reminded the entire nation that he is, in fact, the real deal during Saturday night’s thriller against the Baylor Bears.
Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes were at their mercy and needed a miracle to keep the game going at Folsom Field — trailing by a touchdown with two seconds remaining at the Baylor 44-yard line.
Sanders took the snap and rolled to the left before launching a last-second heave to the end zone. LaJohntay Wester made a phenomenal sliding catch in the rain to secure the six and force overtime:
Colorado seemingly lost their chance to tie it when Will Sheppard dropped a game-tying touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders the play before Wester’s score. Let’s just that say Mr. Sheppard can enjoy the greatest sigh of relief he’ll ever experience:
Micah Welch scored a one-yard rushing touchdown Colorado’s’ opening drive in the extra frame. The Bears looked poised to keep it going when they faced a first-and-goal situation inside the five, but Travis Hunter forced a Dominic Richardson fumble at the goal line to seal the game:

Shedeur Sanders had another field day in the Buffs’ heart-pounding victory, completing 25 pass attempts for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter, Colorado’s two-way superstar, had seven receptions for 130 yards.
With the victory, the Buffaloes have now started 3-1 for the second straight year under head coach Deion Sanders. And surely, Shedeur’s latest performance on Saturday night put NFL scouts on notice.
Shedeur Sanders Is A Top 2025 NFL Draft Prospect
A lot can change between now and the 2025 NFL Draft, but there’s a strong chance that Shedeur will be a top-10 selection. He’s regarded as one of the top three quarterback prospects along with Texas’ Quinn Ewers and Georgia’s Carson Beck.
