The Colorado Buffaloes are doing what they have to do to make one of their boys a Heisman Trophy winner this year.
Their cornerback/wide receiver, Travis Hunter, is considered to be the favorite for the award, while quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected to have a say on proceedings as well. But the Buffs aren’t prepared to leave anything to chance.
The program sent voters an impressive package that ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky could only describe as “sweet” after he received one.

“This is what they are supposed to do!” someone claimed.
“more worried about the Heisman than winning games! This is why they won’t be going to the playoffs!” another retorted.
“This kind of s**t probably shouldn’t be allowed. And if they product on the field was good enough, it wouldn’t be necessary. Pathetic,” someone added.
“Check out the Heisman campaign for 2 players who went 9-3 and finished 4th in a subpar conference! Hell ya,” said another.
“Not a real award anymore,” a fan wrote.
“Sweet?? This is why you shouldn’t be voting for the heisman,” someone else suggested.
The Buffs narrowly missed out on competing for the Big 12 championship and the playoffs, but they are much improved, having finished 2024 with a 9-3 record after going 4-8 in Deion Sanders’ first season in charge.
Now, the direction the Heisman takes off in remains to be seen. But if neither player wins it, it won’t be for the want of trying.
