Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers are getting set to defend their National Championship from last season.
The field for the 2024 NCAA women’s basketball tournament is set.
The LSU women’s basketball team is one of the most interesting and popular teams in the country. They are the defending national champions.
Angel Reese, who was the breakout and controversial star from last year, is ready to get down to business. Before they could do that, the LSU Tigers had to find out where they would be playing, who they would be playing, and what seeding they would be.
The reigning champion LSU Tigers are the No. 3 seed in a region with Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and the UCLA Bruins.
The Selection Sunday reactions are some of the best things about the lead-up to the tournament and we certainly got some from Angele Reese and head coach Kim Mulkey.
Angel Reese can be seen in the below video telling her head coach as well as Hailey Van Lith that the Tigers were a No. 2 seed. She was wrong.

Kim Mulkey could be seen turning to her and clarifying that LSU actually has a No. 3 seed. You can see Angel Reese reacting to that information in real-time as she could be heard saying, “How?”

Angel Reese Has Chance To Have Second-Straight Outstanding NCAA Tournament
LSU went from surprise NCAA champion last year to mounting questions surrounding Angel Reese’s absence, to being one of the top teams again that could make yet another run in the big dance.
Reese finished last season averaging 23 points and 15.4 rebounds per contest, according to ESPN.com. Reese transferred to LSU from Maryland ahead of the 2022-23 season.
After the 2022-23 season success, LSU landed two additional key transfers in Hailey Van Lith from Louisville and Aneesah Morrow from DePaul.
With Angel Reese returning to form, the LSU Tigers will once again be a force to be reckoned with.
