Sunday’s SEC Title Game between the LSU Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks produced ugly scenes as a fight broke out between the two sides during the fourth quarter.
While fights are not uncommon in basketball, this particular one was a bit different in that the brother of a player got involved.
Trayron Milton, the sibling of LSU star Flau’jae Johnson was seen vaulting the scorer’s table and putting his hands on a South Carolina player.
Milton was quickly apprehended and, according to the Associated Press, has since been charged with assault and battery, as well as disorderly conduct by the Greenville Police Department. The 24-year-old was triggered by Gamecocks forward Kamilla Cardoso shoving his sister to the floor and briefly made contact with her after he jumped onto the court.

Greenville Police records show he was still in jail on Monday morning.
Both of his charges are misdemeanors under South Carolina law and carry a punishment of 30 days in jail, a fine, or both.
Meanwhile, Cardoso was ejected for her part in the fight and is banned for South Carolina’s NCAA Tournament opener. Three other Gamecocks players were ejected while two Tigers players were also handed their marching orders.
