USC Trojans star quarterback Caleb Williams has made his long-awaited decision on 2024.
On his Instagram page, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner announced that he has decided to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. The 22-year-old Williams is the consensus favorite to go first overall in this year’s draft.
There was speculation that Williams would go back to college for another year if he wasn’t pleased with the team that won the first overall pick. The Chicago Bears hold the top selection, courtesy of the Carolina Panthers.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Williams threw for 3,633 yards, 30 touchdowns and five interceptions to go along with 11 rushing scores this season.
Williams, Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and North Carolina signal-caller Drake Maye are widely regarded as the top-three prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Washington Commanders hold the No. 2 selection, with the New England Patriots behind them in the third spot.
