The Georgia Bulldogs are racking up traffic arrests at an alarming pace, with two more players from the program arrested and charged with driving-related offenses this week.
Reports from Thursday indicated that linebacker Smael Mondon and offensive lineman Bo Hughely were arrested in separate incidents on back-to-back nights, with both players booked for reckless driving.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution makes Hughley’s matter out to be more concerning, however.
The publication reports that the player was driving with a new student, Ellis Robinson IV, in the passenger seat when he tried to make a sharp curve at a curb.
It’s said that he hit the curb instead, which caused the vehicle to go off the road and the right front wheel to come off, while a speed limit street sign was knocked down.
“Jonathan LeMonte Hughley – known to Georgia football fans as “Bo” Hughley – had just passed another vehicle in his Chrysler 300 on Tuesday evening when he approached a sharp curve on River Road as it transitioned into Carlton Street in an area of the University of Georgia campus known as East Campus Village,” the AJC’s report reads.
“With star defensive back and recent 5-star signee Ellis Robinson IV riding shotgun, Hughley’s vehicle failed to negotiate the curve, struck the curb on the right side of the vehicle, crossed a pedestrian crosswalk as it left the roadway, sheared off a 25 mph speed-limit sign at the ground and ran through grass and pine straw before returning to the roadway and coming to rest in the street. The vehicle was disabled because the right-front tire had been completely torn off and was found in a ditch a considerable distance away.”

The Georgia Bulldogs Could Have A Decision To Make On Their Player’s Future
Bo Hughley joined the Georgia Bulldogs last year, coming in as the No. 10 offensive tackle in his class. He redshirted his first year while an injury forced him to miss most of spring training.
If there’s any truth to the above, he could be in serious trouble with the law and his team.
Meanwhile, the program is understood to have had 20 of their players arrested since January 2023.
