Social media can be a great tool when used correctly, but it can also be a source of a bunch of fake news that thousands, if not millions of people will believe, especially if it fits their own personal agenda.
24 hours after the Clemson Tigers visited the White House and ate fast food from Wendy’s, Burger King, and McDonald’s — a quote from Trevor Lawrence started to circulate the internet exuberantly complimenting the fast food spread that was provided by President Donald Trump.
The Clemson quarterback quickly took to Twitter and shot down the graphic that was circulating on social media Tuesday.
The scariest thing about this is that the fake quote trashed “coastal elite media” and “bloggers” and still people couldn’t figure out that it was fake right away.
