Travis Hunter has had a rough time recently, which has prompted him to make a major change.
The former Colorado Buffaloes two-way star has hired a bodyguard amid the drama surrounding him and his girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, and reckons he will live a lot longer now.
Hunter’s private life was the most discussed topic on the internet after he won the Heisman Trophy in December, so he isn’t willing to take any chances. In his latest appearance on his podcast, ‘The Travis Hunter Show,’ the NFL-bound cornerback/wide receiver revealed he stopped taking photos because of what people might do with them once they reach online.
He also disclosed having hired his own bodyguard, as he fears what people might do.
“People scare me, because you never know who’s got good intentions. It can always go left at any moment,” he said. “Yeah, I got a new security guard. I walk around with security.”

Hunter joked that he could live for another hundred years because he has protection, promising to introduce “Frank the Tank” soon.

“But it’s all good because I got Frank the Tank; I got a new security guard, y’all,” he added. “Y’all gonna meet him soon…Spend that money in the right place. Now I can stay alive for 100 years.”
Hunter should have no problems keeping a bodyguard on the payroll. He was one of the highest NIL earners in college and is set to make a lot more money in the NFL, although he recently confessed to being jealous of Carson Beck and his Miami deal.
That he had to get a bodyguard at this point in his career is sad, but Hunter will do whatever he needs to do to ensure he feels safe.
It also appears that his engagement is very much intact despite the many calls for him to break up with Leanna.
