Travis Hunter has made a bold promise following his first season in Colorado.
The Buffaloes’ campaign came to a close this weekend with a loss against Utah. They finished the term with a 4-8 record, which is a lot better than the 1-11 record from last season, though still not enough to take them to a bowl game.
CU got off to a blazing start, winning three games on the bounce to become the most talked-about team in sports. They went on to lose eight of their last nine as things came crashing down.
Hunter, a rare talent who plays on both sides of the ball, has vowed that the Buffs will win more than four games next season and will eventually achieve everything they set out to achieve.
“You know it was a hard season for us,” he said on the ‘12 Talks With Travis Hunter’ podcast this week. “A group of men coming together that we never seen before. Next year, best believe we’re winning more than four games. We coming different next year, for sure.
“Expectations for next year, just go out and ball. Trying to become the highest draft pick I can. Try to win something with my team. Try to get the National Championship. Try to get a bowl game. Just try to get everything we didn’t get this year.”

Meanwhile, the wide receiver/cornerback hybrid is being urged to leave Colorado and take quarterback Shedeur Sanders with him as it could take Deion Sanders a few years to really get going in Boulder.
