Thing have been really chippy through one quarter of play between Colorado and Colorado State. But perhaps no play stands out more than this one.
During the first quarter, Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders tried to his Travis Hunter on a deep ball. And while the throw was off target, that didn’t stop Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn from laying the boom on the Buffaloes star…well after the ball had hit the ground.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, Blackburn was flagged on the play. And he also drew the ire of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, who had some choice words for the Rams defender.
So far, Colorado State’s chippiness has been working out in their favor, as they’ve seemingly gotten Shedeur off his game and held a 21-14 lead at halftime. We’ll see if they can keep it up.
