The Michigan State Spartans were taking on the Minnesota Golden Gophers on the road when that news came down.
The Spartans won 70-52, but before Spartans star Cassius Winston could speak to a reporter after the game, head coach Tom Izzo told him the news of Kobe and his reaction was of complete shock.
