Tom Brady sent a text message to Shedeur Sanders following the latter’s performance against the TCU Horned Frogs in Colorado’s season opener on Saturday.
Playing while his father Deion Sanders looked on as the Buffaloes head coach, Shedeur had a monster game, throwing for a school record of 510 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
The Buffs have made it back into the AP Top 25 for the first time since their brief appearance in 2020 on the back of the 45-42 victory.
Colorado sports insider Ryan Koenigsberg has revealed that Shedeur received a three-worded text message from Brady following the performance.
The message: “Don’t be satisfied.”
Simple, yet solid. It’s easy to get complacent after throwing for over 500 yards in a single game. But it’s only one step of what should be a long journey, and the Buffaloes QB will need to remain hungry throughout the season.

Of course, his father is never letting him get too full, so fans don’t have to worry about complacency setting in. But it’s quite the nice touch from Brady, whom Shedeur has trained with in the past.
