This is one of the worst targeting penalties that has ever been seen.
During a Wednesday night game between the Northern Illinois Huskies and Toledo Rockets — Huskies QB Ross Bowers faked a hand off and took off to in attempt to get a first down, but found himself slipping and falling to the ground instead.
Despite being on his knees and looking the other way, Toledo defensive lineman Terrance Taylor came running in and smacked him hard from behind. It was originally flagged as a personal foul, but changed to targeting upon review. He was rightfully ejected.
