Tim Tebow was not happy with the officiating during Monday night’s National Championship game between Michigan and Washington.
The former Heisman Trophy holder would take to social media to point out that there was some disparity with the calls on the night, though the game is hardly going to be remembered for controversial flags. Fortunately, refereeing decisions didn’t end up being the main thought, but Tebow was still upset over one particular instance.
Washington looked to be coming back after a dominant first half by Michigan and had a chance to tie things up early in the fourth quarter when Michael Penix Jr. found Rome Odunze with a pass that got 32 yards for the Huskies. But it wouldn’t count after the refs called holding against right tackle Roger Rosengarten.
The former quarterback felt that the Wolverines had gotten away with multiple calls throughout the night and Washington had been handed a rough break.
“Really tough holding call after some of the ones they missed for Michigan,” he wrote on X.

As mentioned above, the referees did not dominate the headlines. But that particular call was a topic of debate among fans online.
Still, it’s easy to admit that Michigan was the better side on the night after putting pressure on Penix and using the ground game to devastating effect on the other side of the ball.
