A short carry by Kansas State quarterback Skylar Thompson turned into a benches-clearing fight at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday. When it was finally over with, three players would be ejected from the game as a result of the fight.
It all went down when Thompson was running towards the sideline and was laid out by a TCU safety. Kansas State players then ran to help their quarterback up and it appeared that words were exchanged between the two teams. A brawl then broke out soon after.
TCU safeties Da’Veawn Armstead and D’Arco Perkins-McAllister were both ejected for throwing punches, as was Kansas State wide receiver Tyrone Howell.
With today’s loss, TCU has dropped five of its last six games after starting the year at 2-0.
The Wildcats move up to 5-3.
