‘The Simpsons’ has predicted many major world events, but they weren’t able to get ahead of the Michigan sign-stealing scandal that rocked the college football world this year.
That didn’t prevent the show’s writers from poking some fun at the university and its football head coach, Jim Harbaugh.
In a recent episode named “Do the Wrong Thing,” America’s longest-running sitcom took shots at those involved in some of the more notable cheating scandals in sports.
Bill Belichick, USC, and the Houston Astros were also referenced in the episode. Where Harbaugh is concerned, the final segment shows Bart Simpson teaching “Intro to Cheating 101” at the Jim Harbaugh Center for Competitive Imbalance.
“Students look to your left, look to your right. Those are the people you’ll be cheating off of,” he’s heard saying to his class.

Harbaugh served a three-game suspension from the Big Ten toward the end of the regular season but the Wolverines kept right on winning and have booked a spot in the College Football Playoff, where they will play Alabama in the Rose Bowl in hopes of making it to the National Championship game.
The head coach has denied any knowledge of the sign stealing, while Connor Stalions, a former analyst for the program, was suspended before quitting.
