Quinn Ewers has reportedly made a decision on the next phase of his football career after a disappointing run in the College Football Playoff.
The Texas Longhorns had their hopes of lifting a national title dashed in last week’s Cotton Bowl, losing to Ohio State 28-14. The loss marked the second straight year they fell short at the semi-final stage.
“Coming up short two years, it’s tough,” Ewers said after the game.
It’s now being reported that he has decided to enter the NFL Draft over a potentially lucrative opportunity in college.
“Quinn Ewers has reportedly “made up his mind” and is declaring for the NFL Draft with a potential announcement within the next 24-48 hours,” NFL Rookie Watch notes.
College players not participating in next week’s championship game have until Wednesday to declare for the draft. It’s rumored that there is a $6 million offer on the table with another school, but as the aforementioned source would have it, the QB will test his value elsewhere.
