A year after meeting in the Alamo Bowl, No. 3 Texas and No. 2 Washington will meet with much higher stakes on the line.
Texas’ head-to-head win over Alabama clearly held a significant tiebreaker, evident by the Longhorns receiving the No. 3 spot and the Tide sliding in at No. 4 in the college football playoff.
Amid their big game, a wide receiver is ready to leave the program.
Texas Longhorns senior wide receiver Isaiah Neyor plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3.
A hyped transfer in 2022, Neyor was never able to get going at Texas after missing most of his debut season with an injury. Neyor was a standout for Wyoming. In 2021, he had 44 catches for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Overall, Neyor has 53 receptions for 1,140 yards and 13 touchdowns in his college career. Neyor has two years of eligibility remaining.

Neyor is now the seventh Texas player to enter the portal or announce plans to do so.
The Longhorns who are 12-1 will face Washington who is 13-0 on Jan. 1st in the Superdome in New Orleans in the second College Football Playoff semifinal. The winner will face either No. 1 Michigan or No. 4 Alabama for the national championship on Jan. 8th in Houston.
If the Longhorns make it, they will certainly have a home-field advantage based on the distance from Austin to Houston.
