Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Johntay Cook is in some serious trouble.
Cook has been arrested on multiple charges and was taken into the Lon Evans Correctional Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
The former Texas and Washington wide receiver faces charges, including a pair of misdemeanors for theft and interfering with public duties, per On3.
The 6-foot, 185-pound receiver faces charges, including a pair of misdemeanors with theft in addition to interfering with public duties. He was a former four-star recruit, but he’s been unable to establish himself in the collegiate ranks either with the Longhorns or the Huskies.

Johntay Cook Abruptly Left Washington Weeks After Transferring
Former Texas football receiver Johntay Cook II committed to Washington during the winter transfer window, but within a month, he had already departed from the program.

According to a report from the Seattle Times, Cook had already enrolled in time and was on campus for the start of the winter quarter on January 6th, but would only be there a week before he and Washington decided to part ways.
He caught eight passes for 136 yards as a freshman and would only appear in six games for the Longhorns in 2024, tallying eight receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
Cook was supposed to take his next step with Washington, and now his future is in doubt.
