Steve Sarkisian was not in a good mood on Thursday and his attitude was evident even before his team took the field. An event coordinator placed his hand on Sarkisian’s chest to prevent him from moving forward as his squad and he ran onto the field at the Alamodome.
Sarkisian eventually got sick of it, so he went nuclear on the guy.
“Don’t fucking touch me again, motherfucker. Get your fucking hands off me.”
You would think that type of energy would propel his team on hte field, but it did the opposite as Texas failed to score its first touchdown until the third quarter. They would ultimately lose to the Huskies with a 20-27 final score.
Texas, playing in its first bowl game under second-year coach, had trouble defending Washington QB Michael Penix, Jr. who threw for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Sarkisian has a 2-7 record against ranked opponents as the Texas coach. His overall record in Austin now sits at 13-12.
